primeramente, AMARC Europe welcomes Mariacristina Sciannamblo and Alexander Vojvoda to the team of AMARC Europe
. Within the framework of the Grassroots project Mariacristina will be responsible for communication and research and collaborate closely with Francesco Diasio

). Alexander as AMARC Europe project coordinator will be in charge of AMARC Europe projects and will also be the main contact point for members

Grassroots Project: New Community Radios on Air
La Grassroot Radio project is piloting solutions for community information platforms and media pluralism, trabajando para reducir las barreras para comenzar y mantener una estación de radio comunitaria, crear redes regionales y de alcance europeo de estaciones que se pueden juntar las lecciones de nivel comunitario, co-innovar servicios de medios colaborativos y aumentar el impacto de esas estaciones a través de una combinación de tecnologías digitales y no digitales existentes. With partners in Ireland, Romania and Portugal (Madeira), AMARC Europe is experimenting with new technologies based on a strong interaction between mobile telephony, traditional radio and Text to Speech (TTS) technologies, a través de la RootIo plataforma.
AMARC Europe partner in ethical and responsible journalism project
La proliferación de medios de comunicación y las nuevas tecnologías ha dado lugar a cambios decisivos en y desafía a los procesos de comunicación y comportamientos humanos. El cambio en el panorama de los medios también ha impactado en el papel y social, responsabilidades profesionales y éticas de los periodistas. These changes in the role that media plays in the life of citizens has highlighted the importance of responsible media reporting. During the 2-year Erasmus+ project The ethical media for active citizenship (EMAC) project AMARC Europe explores the role of community media in the sphere of ethical and responsible journalism.
AMARC Europe partner in Training of Trainer project
| LaINTELIGENTE online tool developed 2015 addresses community radio trainers and offers selected and validated training exercises and methods even to specific target groups to create radio trainings.|
Jordania: AMARC supports civil society
In the frame of the EU project “Empowering civil society through media” AMARC participated in the conference “Empowering civil society in Jordan through community media”, held in Amman the 18th and 19th of February, under the patronage of the Minister of State or Media Affairs.

| Sobre 9 Mayo 2019 the oldest community radio in Europe Radio Estudiantil in Ljubljana/Slovenia celebrates its 50th anniversary with concerts, talleres, movie screenings and discussions.|
Revuelta de radio: Publication “30 Days of Radio Art”
In Oktober 2016 over 70 radio artists from 17 countries gathered in Halle/Germany for the Revuelta de radio festival to present and explore contemporary radio art through performances, exhibitions, talleres, conferences and 24/7 radio productions. The Radio Revolten festival now published the documentation of the festival with the name“30 Days of Radio Art”. The publication “covers the presented artworks and daily events of Radio Revolten alongside contemporary thinking by radio activists and artists on the current and future use of their material and medium of choice.”
Bangladesh: NGOs Network for Radio and Communication received two UN WSIS Champion Prizes 2019.
Two Initiatives of Bangladesh ONG Red de Radio y Comunicación (BNNRC) were recognized as Champions at the UN World Summit on the Information Society (UN WSIS) Prizes 2019. Sr.. Rezaul Karim Chowdhury, Chairperson of Board of Trustees of Bangladesh ONG Red de Radio y Comunicación (BNNRC) and the Executive Director of COAST Trust & AHM Bazlur Rahman, Chief Executive Officer of BNNRC, have received the two UN WSIS champion certificate from Mr. Houlin Zhao, Secretary-General of UN International Telecommunication Union (UIT) el martes 9 Abril 2019 at a ceremony at Geneva International Conference Centre, Switzerland as part of the annual UN WSIS Forum 2019.
Ecuador: Community Media demand access to frequencies
Representatives of Ecuadorian community media sector denounced the concentration of commercial media and demanded access to frequencies in order to exercise their right to communicate within the framework of the 5th National Community Communication Conference, which took place in Quito, Ecuador from 4 a 6 de abril 2019.

Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction 2019
Sobre 13 May 2019 AMARC will attend a high level event on the question “How can world broadcasters and media contribute to reducing disaster risk, saving lives and fulfilling their mandate to further the public good?” The discussion forum will be hosted by the UN Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNISDR) en el Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction 2019 which will take place from 13-17 Mayo 2019 in Geneva, Suiza.
