French Ministry of Education supports with the associative radios on media literacy actions

Najat Vallaud Belkacem, the French Minister of Education, has signed with the National Union of Free Radios (SNRL) a unique cooperation agreement in the world. With nearly two million daily listeners, their three thousand professional journalists, four hundred and fourteen thousand volunteer producers and presenters, the six hundred local associative radios are at the forefront in forging social ties in the regions and participate in youth education . Since the attacks of January 2015 the Minister and SNRL employees and teams under the leadership of Eric Lucas have developed a plan for a synergy between schools and the only local media capacity to play this role: radio associative.
